Abubakar Adoye

Creative Manager

“You are a sum of all your experiences.”

Abubakar was born and raised in Lagos city. Most Nigerian families inflict a great deal of pain upon their children in molding them into doctors, lawyers or anything else they perceive as practical. This got Abubakar to attend school at the University of Benin as an Industrial Physicist.

Upon graduating, he has worked as an Oracle Database Administrator, a Systems Engineer, a Financial Analyst and then destiny led to his pre-destined job as an Art Director.

Prior to becoming a Templar, he worked as the Lead Creative on brands such as Johnnie Walker, Bailey’s, Cîroc and Smirnoff Vodka, PZ and La Casera while working with Brand Footprint Communications. He was also a Design Consultant with Jack Daniel’s, Remy Martin, Glenfiddich, Laurent Perrier, Hennessy, Moet and Chandon, Veuve Cliquot… see a trend?

At Temple, Abubakar manages daily operations in a department responsible for creative works, including audience promotions and advertising; oversees print production, graphic arts and desktop publishing.

You could catch Abu on the weekends playing football, working as a DJ or hibernating at home. He someday hopes to travel the world.
